Steven Tyler of Aerosmith at the piano in concert, 1980s - Original 35mm Slide Transparency Photo, by Randy Bachman - This photo was featured in the book "PhotoPass:  The Rock & Roll Photography of Randy Bachman" (pg. 61).
Randy Bachman, was one of the best known and most successful West Coast photographers during the 70s and 80s.  As a freelance photographer, Randy often worked for local bands like Journey, Santana, Sammy Hagar, Y&T and many many more (also often hired by Bill Graham to photograph his productions).  Randy's photos appeared in album liner notes such as Journey's "Escape" and Sammy Haggar's "All Night Long" (and many more).  Randy's life came to a tragic early end.  While doing what he loved most, photographing the marquee outside of a local club that he was about to enter to photograph the concert , he was killed by car.  While small in stature (he had a rare bone disease), he was a giant in the eyes of many West Coast bands.  After his passing, two benefit concerts were held in Randy's name, with some of the biggest names in West Coast music performing.  A book was published featuring Randy's work, "PhotoPass:  The Rock & Roll Photography of Randy Bachman" (the original transparencies from many of the photos featured in this book will also be sold).
This is the first time, in over 20 years, that Randy Bachman's work has become available for sale.  All the photos that I will be listing are original photos and transparencies, that have been purchased directly from Randy Bachman's family.  This is
not
a mass produced press photo.  This is
not
a reprint or reproduction.  This is from Randy's personal collection.
