of a press mold for polymer clay of an 18 year old mermaid girl. Her name is Ava. This mold has detail in it, hands, with sweet little body and face. You will need to make the tail and fins with Fimo mix Quick clay. Available in most craft stores. AVA's mold is a two part press mold made of Hydrostone and made to last for years if you don't drop it.
Polymer clay is different with every brand and batch that is made.
Sometimes the figure refuses to release from the press mold all in one piece.
My advice is:
Dip the entire mold into cold water for one minute to wet it completely. Remove from the water.
Press your doll into the wet mold. Leave the doll inside the unopened mold and put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Remove the mold from the freezer, carefully open the mold and remove your doll but DO NOT try to change her pose for an hour. Let her thaw out so she does not crack when you bend her.
She will sweat off the water and dry out. Now you can play with her!
